This is my 3D printed SS Tilawa model — a detailed representation of a lesser-known yet historically significant ocean liner.
The SS Tilawa, often referred to as the “Indian Titanic,” was a British India Steam Navigation Company passenger and cargo ship tragically sunk during World War II. Despite the scale of the disaster and its historical importance, the Tilawa has remained largely overlooked in the model world. I designed this piece to give collectors a properly represented version of the ship, with accurate proportions and clean detailing that brings attention back to her story.
